dog boarding
What is dog boarding?
Dog boarding is when your dog stays with us in our home while you're away.
What do I need to bring?
The goal is to make your dog as safe and comfortable as possible while you're away so bring along whatever you think will make them feel at home!
Does my pet need to be fully vaccinated before staying with you?
Yes, your dog should be fully vaccinated for the safety of not only your dog but also mine and Lily's. Exceptions are made for puppies who are too young to have all their vaccinations and are required to stay indoors. We also ask, if possible, that you are up to date with any flea preventatives to ensure the safety of your pup and mine.
How does dog boarding work?

- Scheduling! Let us know your dates and drop-off times. The drop-off time reflects the time you will need to pick up your pup without any additional fees.
- Free consultation. Bring your pup and come check out our home. Take the opportunity to have your furbaby meet Lily. A sense of comfort for you and your pup is important when boarding. Typically free consultations are done on weekdays or weeknights, schedule permitting. After making the commitment, you will receive an email with a series of questions to document your pup's behaviors and schedule for the best experience possible.
- Drop off your pet at the designated date and time. Provide full payment. If it helps, you can drop off your pet's belongings for their stay a day or two in advance to make your drop off easier.
- You will receive picture and text updates daily.
- Pick up your dog at the designated time.

Dog walking
Can you walk my dog less than four times a week?
Yes, Lily's Pad NYC will accommodate flex schedules for as long as our business can do so. Need only one day this week? Let us know, we can help. We do ask that you give as much advance notice as possible in order to ensure we have the availability you need as our schedules tend to fill up fast.
Do you walk more than one dog at a time?
Yes we can! We typically start off our relationship with your pup solo to familiarize ourselves with each other (even if it is just for a day or for the entire duration of their walks with us). If we find a neighboring pup that may be a great fit for buddy walks, after permission from both pet parents, we can walk them together! A lot of dogs love socializing with others, and can even use it as a tool to improve their leash walking skills. We do not do pack walks. You will never find your walker with over 3 or 4 dogs at their side - even that is typically a stretch and only happens in unique situations.
On occasion I need someone to walk my dog last minute, in the evenings or on the weekend. Can you walk during off hours?
Yes, things happen! Sometimes you need to work late or there is an emergency, we can help, schedule permitting! We do our best to try and accommodate last minute requests whenever we can. Additional fees may apply.
Will you walk my dog during inclement weather?
Yes, as long as it is safe for your dog and for our team - rain, snow or shine we will be there for for furry friend. If your pup doesn't like being out in the cold or rain for the full 30-60 minutes, we're happy to bring them outside to do their business and then play indoors for the rest of the time (as long as this doesn't effect other walks).
Will we only have one walker?
Yes, you and your dog will have the opportunity to develop a relationship with one walker. You will only have a different walker if something comes up (like your walker needs the day off), we will make sure to have someone ready to cover that walk for you and you will be notified so that your dog still gets some fresh air and a potty break.
Will you need a spare set of keys?
Yes! Lily's Pad asks that you provide two sets of keys. We keep the extra set for emergencies and coverage.

pet sitting
How does pet sitting work?
- Free consultation - this is a great way to show us the ropes of your pet's routine and where we can find everything to provide the best care possible for your pet
- Similarly to boarding, have all the essential day-to-day items available for your cat(s) or dog(s)
- I will send an email about your pet to document schedules, behaviors, etc.
- Keys to your home
- One of our available, dedicated team members will stay with your dog overnight so they don't need to spend the night alone. This will include an evening relief walk and feeding, a morning relief walk and feeding and an afternoon relief walk (and feeding if needed).
- If an overnight stay isn't needed, we can still help! We can visit two-three times per day (morning, afternoon and evening) for 30-minutes to walk and feed your pup.

WILL YOU TAKE DOGS TO DOG RUNS?
This is a possibility after a conversation has been had about your dog's behavior in a dog park. My interest is first and foremost in your dog's safety. If you know your dog doesn't get along well with other dogs or has been known to be aggressive with other dogs in the park, I will not offer this service. Trips to the dog run are available in warmer months. A signed waiver is required.
DO YOU OFFER DOG DAYCARE?
Unfortunately we do not offer this service at this time.
Does my pet need to be fully vaccinated before starting services with you?
Yes, your pet should be fully vaccinated before utilizing our services. Safety is key when handling your pets, not only for them but for us. Exceptions can be made for puppies under a certain age who are not allowed to have certain vaccinations yet.
Are you insured?
Yes! Lily's Pad and our employees are insured and bonded!
DO YOU OFFER PUPPY CARE?
Absolutely, we LOVE puppies! Our staff are all experienced with puppy care. if your pup hasn't received all their vaccinations yet, and can't go outside, we are here to help! We can come by for indoor care such as changing wee wee pads, feeding and playing until your pup is ready to venture the outdoors. Our team has helping many little ones get accustomed to the transition on leash outdoors and would be happy to help you too.
covid-19
Due to COVID-19, Lily's Pad has made some changes to our routine to ensure the safest experience possible for our clients, pets and team.
- Curbside pickup for anyone working from home but still want walks for their dog(s).
- Virtual Meet & Greets - this allows us to get to know each other safely and comfortably to give you to ask any questions you may have prior to meeting us outdoors in person to limit contact.
- If you are not home when we come by, we are asking clients to leave everything your pup needs in one place to limit our time inside of your home.
- Overnight sitting is temporarily suspended.
- Pet sitting, dog boarding and dog walking are still in effect.
- Our walking hours are currently at limited capacity while we go through this tough time together. Currently we are walking Tuesday through Thursday. If you are going back to work and need more days, we are absolutely open to this as we slowly reopen. So feel free to reach out!
