About Lily's Pad Pet Care LLC
Jen Gambino, founder of Lily's Pad, has always had a passion for animals. Born and raised in Astoria, Queens, she was the kid who picked up any homeless animals (dogs, birds, cats, etc.) and found them a loving home. After working in the corporate world for a number of years, she decided that she would pursue her dream of working with animals full time.
Today, she continues giving back by fostering dogs on her free time with Friends with Four Paws and Muddy Paws Rescue, assisting in finding abandoned dogs their forever homes. She also volunteers with dogs at Bideawee in Manhattan and BARC shelter in Brooklyn.
Jen is a certified Dog Obedience Trainer through Animal Behavior College and is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid. Dog training will be available as a service in addition to walking, pet sitting and dog boarding soon. Stay tuned!
In March 2018, Lily's Pad NYC obtained another local pet care business, Dog Liberty, so now we can help service a wider span of the Astoria and Long Island City areas.
While we wait to offer dog training services ourselves, we would like to highly recommend Yuruani Olguin. She also received her certification through Animal Behavioral College and is a professional dog trainer. If you're looking for a dog trainer, check out her website: www.yuruaniolguin.com.
Who is Lily?
She is Jen's dog of course! Lily is a certified Good Dog Foundation therapy dog who welcomes foster dogs and friendly canine visitors of all ages, shapes and sizes into her home. Lily and Jen have worked in assistive living facilities, such as the Forest Hills Atira, to bring comfort and joy to those who need it. They've worked in environments with large groups of dogs, people and kids to make sure they have good social skills in any situation together.
Side by side Lily and Jen make dogs feel at home when they stay with them, and would do the same for your family member too! We look forward to working with you.
